Atlanta, GA, April 1, 2022 – April 1st marks the 25th anniversary of the founding of Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP. FMG started with eight lawyers and one office and today is one of the nation’s premier litigation law firms with over 260 lawyers in 28 offices in 15 states.
The firm was founded by three practice group leaders of one of the South’s largest litigation firms. From its beginning, FMG has prided itself on hiring attorneys and staff that are preeminent in their fields and who give a special focus on the client and successful outcomes in their matters.
Ben Mathis, FMG’s Managing Partner, said, “We take great pride in what our team has accomplished. While this particular anniversary marks the founding of the original FMG office, we also acknowledge and celebrate the legacy firms of the many attorneys who have joined us through the years and who are instrumental to what our firm is today.”
“Throughout our growth and expansion, our leadership and partners always have stayed true to a fundamental tenet of our culture — we are ‘one office, one firm.’ You will never hear us talk about a ‘main’ office or ‘branch’ office. Every FMG location and our people are fully interrelated and connected by common professional commitments, intense professional values, superior work ethic, and a client-centered purpose based on the belief in a culture of service.”
“On behalf of our firm, we also want to recognize our founding attorneys who are still with us today: Ted Freeman, Bart Gary, Phil Savrin, Mary Anne Ackourey, and Dana Maine. They are all remarkable lawyers who have been critical to our success through the years. And we also recognize and are very thankful to our clients we have the honor of representing. They have been steadfast in their loyalty. We could not have started our firm without the support of several key clients, and we are pleased that each remains a prominent and important client to this day.”
