Charles Reed has extensive litigation experience in a broad spectrum of defense areas including civil rights, land use, contract, and constitutional law. As a former Senior Assistant County Attorney in the DeKalb County Law Department, he was lead counsel in several high profile lawsuits relating constitutional claims against law enforcement officers.

Edwin A. Treese practices in the firm’s Government Liability and Complex Litigation sections, where he primarily represents private companies, churches, motor carriers, governmental entities, and their employees and officials in a broad range of litigation. He has experience defending a broad array of cases including civil rights/excessive force claims, premises liability claims, automobile/trucking claims, defamation claims, and allegations of corporate/organizational liability for an employee’s sexual misconduct.

Kevin R. Stone is an associate in firm’s government law practice section. He also practices in the firm’s general and professional liability sections.  As part of the firm’s government law section, Mr. Stone has a broad litigation practice with a focus on defending cities, counties, law enforcement officers, and other governmental individuals in civil rights and general liability matters in both state and federal trial courts and appellate courts. Mr. Stone’s practice also includes the defense of attorneys in professional liability matters and the defense of private businesses in general liability matters.
