Ms. Ackourey is a has represented public and private employers in labor and employment law cases on a national basis, including federal jury trial and appellate matters throughout the country. Ms. Ackourey also has extensive experience in employment and student issues unique to public and private educational institutions; including terminations, student discipline and expulsion, harassment, constitutional protections, and accommodation/special education issues. Ms. Ackourey has been recognized as a Leading Labor and Employment Lawyer by Chambers USA and as a “Rising Super Lawyer” on multiple occasions by Atlanta Magazine. She has served on the Executive Committee of the Employment Law Committee of the Defense Research Institute and was Editor in Chief of the DRI’s Electronic Employment law treatise. Ms. Cash is a member of the Labor and Employment Law Section of Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP. Ms. Cash represents public and private sector employers in all aspects of employment litigation, including defense of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, FMLA, and ADA claims, as well as matters involving the defense or enforcement of restrictive covenants. Ms. Cash regularly appears before the EEOC and other federal and state agencies, and also represents employers before federal and state courts in a variety of employment disputes. Ms. Cash also advises employers on day-to-day general employment matters, including the preparation of employee handbooks, employment agreements, restrictive covenants, and arbitration agreements.
