In his commercial law practice, Mr. Foree routinely represents clients in complex commercial matters, business disputes, and contract disputes. He also has handled cases under the Lanham Act, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Telephone Consumer Protection Act, and RICO, in addition to breach of fiduciary duty claims.
Mr. Foree’s construction law practice includes the representation of design professionals, contractors, owners, and other clients in all types of construction disputes, including breach of contract and design defects. He has represented clients in construction claims in litigation, arbitration, and mediation proceedings.
In his cyber practice, Mr. Foree advises and represents businesses in a variety of matters relating to data security and privacy laws. He has experience helping businesses respond to data breaches and comply with notification laws involving inadvertent disclosure of information. He also represents businesses in litigation matters related to data security and privacy.
Mr. Foree also has the experience and skills necessary to assist and guide health care professionals, managers, directors, and officers, as well as provider networks and organizations through the defense of litigation and through prevention in state and federal settings including issues involving fiduciary obligations, oversight, compliance, employment, reimbursement, and conflict resolution, including among providers and senior management. His experience also extends to defending health care providers as well as health care product and device manufacturers against personal injury claims in the life sciences.
Mr. Foree has been selected three times as a Georgia Super Lawyers "Rising Star" as published by Atlanta Magazine. He is a frequent author and speaker on the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. Mr. Foree has lived in the Atlanta area for over 30 years and is active in the community. He is a Past President and current member of the Board of Directors of Bike Roswell!, a nonprofit cycling advocacy organization based in Roswell, Georgia. Mr. Foree is a member of Leadership Cobb Class of 2013-2014. He is also a member of the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation’s Endangered Properties Committee and a member of the Institute of Classical Architecture and Art.
Mr. Foree obtained his undergraduate degree from Davidson College and his law degree from Emory University School of Law. He is a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Accredited Professional and is trained in the benefits of sustainable construction. Mr. Foree is one of a small number of attorneys in Georgia with the LEED AP credential.
