Mary Katherine Planchet is an Associate in Freeman Mathis & Gary’s downtown Los Angeles office.
Ms. Planchet earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Southern California in 2015, summa cum laude, and earned her Juris Doctor from Loyola Marymount University Law School in 2021, cum laude. While attending the evening division at Loyola Law School, Ms. Planchet worked full time during the day as a legal assistant for a personal injury and vaccine litigation firm and later as a law clerk for a business, entertainment and insurance litigation firm. At Loyola, she served as the Chief Articles Editor of the Loyola of Los Angeles Law Review and served as a writing tutor for other students, as well as a mentor for incoming students.
During her time at Loyola, Ms. Planchet received the First Honors Award for the highest grade in the class in Marital Property, California Civil Procedure, Criminal Law, Ethical Lawyering, Mediation Advocacy, and Negotiation Intensive Workshop. Additionally, Ms. Planchet was a Sayre Macneil Scholar, the Treasurer of the St. Thomas More Law Honor Society, and a member of Alpha Sigma Nu Honor Society.
