Overview

Mark Bittner is an Associate in Freeman Mathis & Gary’s Newark Office. His practice includes a variety of complex litigation matters with a particular focus on tort and catastrophic loss, construction defect and design, healthcare law, transportation law, aviation law, and environmental matters.

Prior to joining Freeman Mathis & Gary, Mr. Bittner worked as an Assistant Prosecutor in Atlantic and Essex Counties with the Grand Jury and Juvenile Units. Mr. Bittner handled a variety of crimes and bench trials, balancing the needs for both justice and rehabilitation of offending juveniles.

Mr. Bittner also serves in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps. As a Captain in the United States Army Reserve. As a member of the Reserve, Mr. Bittner deployed with the 36th Infantry Division, Texas Army National Guard under Operation Spartan Shield throughout the Middle East, including Kuwait, Jordan, Qatar, and Egypt from 2020 through 2021.

Mr. Bittner graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in both Political Science and History, magna cum laude at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey and obtained his Juris Doctor at Seton Hall University School of Law.

He is a member of both the New Jersey and New York State Bars.
