M. Cole Walker Jr. is an Associate in Freeman Mathis & Gary’s Atlanta office. He is part of the Insurance Coverage and Professional Liability National Practice Sections. A large part of Mr. Walker’s practice includes insurance coverage and bad faith analysis and litigation, including declaratory judgment actions, where he represents insurance professionals and insurance companies. Mr. Walker has handled coverage matters involving personal and commercial auto, trucking, first-party home and property, commercial general liability, and business interruption. Mr. Walker also provides analysis and guidance regarding the evaluation of time-limited demands and avoidance of bad faith as well as prepares coverage analysis and coverage position letters on behalf of clients. Mr. Walker also regularly represents insurer clients by evaluating UM/UIM claims and defending them in litigation.
Before joining Freeman Mathis & Gary, Mr. Walker worked at another national law firm in Atlanta representing individuals and employers in professional liability claims, including lawyers and law firms against legal malpractice. He also defended corporations and individuals in a variety of litigation involving business disputes, premises liability claims, and insurance coverage matters. Mr. Walker also clerked for one year with the Honorable J. Wade Padgett and the Honorable Daniel J. Craig in the Augusta Judicial Circuit.
