Overview

Jordan Meeks is an Associate in Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP’s Nashville office. His practice includes handling the defense in personal injury matters ranging from motor vehicle accidents, premises liability cases, product liability cases, slip and falls, traumatic brain injury cases, wrongful death and other complex and large-exposure tort cases for businesses, individuals as well as their insurers. He has extensive experience handling cases in California state courts, as well as the federal district courts of California.

The bedrock of Mr. Meeks’ practice is an untiring work ethic, a thorough analysis of the relevant legal issues, and a keen focus on achieving his clients’ goals in the most efficient manner possible. Mr. Meeks prides himself on maintaining his role as an aggressive client advocate, both in and out of court. As a member of the firm’s Trial Team, Mr. Meeks is adept at handling all aspects of litigation. He frequently resolves cases through mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution, has successfully argued dozens of pleading, discovery, and evidentiary motions in various state and federal courts, and often disposes of meritless cases through motions for summary judgment. Mr. Meeks firmly believes that every case should be prepared as if it will go to trial, and is ready to do so should the case call for it

Mr. Meeks acquired his Bachelor of Arts degree from Arizona State University, and his Juris Doctor from Syracuse University. As a law student, he was a member of the school’s Moot Court Honor Society, where he won and was named the best overall advocate of the 43rd Annual McKenzie Hughes LLP Edmund H. Lewis Appellate Advocacy Competition. Mr. Meeks also won a CALI award for Contracts, and was selected to the Order of Barristers, an Honor Society for individuals who exhibit exceptional skill in trial advocacy, oral advocacy, and brief writing. He spent his final semester in law school as a student attorney where he represented low-income taxpayers in controversies with the Internal Revenue Service and negotiated settlements on their behalf.

In his spare time, Mr. Meeks enjoys spending time with his fiancé, daughter, and his two dogs. He is an avid San Francisco 49ers and Syracuse basketball fan. He also enjoys snowboarding, working out, managing his numerous fantasy football teams, and camping.
