Overview

Jaemie L. Paraon is an Associate at the Freeman Mathis & Gary – Downtown Los Angeles office.

Ms. Paraon obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a minor in French from the University of California, Berkeley. She then earned her Juris Doctor from Notre Dame Law School in South Bend, Indiana. At Notre Dame, Ms. Paraon was a recipient of the Faculty Award for Excellence in Legal Writing and the International Academy of Trial Lawyers Award for distinguished achievement in the art of advocacy.

While in law school, Ms. Paraon served as Articles Submissions Editor for the Journal of International & Comparative Law and Vice President of Notre Dame’s Moot Court Board. She competed in the Saul Lefkowitz Trademark Moot Court Competition in 2021, where her team finished first place in the Chicago Regionals and her brief was named Second Best Brief in the Nationals Round. Ms. Paraon assisted local entrepreneurs in protecting their intellectual property rights and responding to cease-and-desist letters through Notre Dame’s Intellectual Property & Entrepreneurship Clinic. She also externed for the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office and the City of South Bend Legal Department.

In her spare time, Ms. Paraon enjoys rooting for the Lakers and Dodgers and playing the piano and guitar.
